In the business world, paying forward to the community is seen as a strategy to increase brand awareness and improve brand image or perception, thus generally increasing appeal to employees, customers, stakeholders, and the community. While proven effective in its marketing advantages, pay-it-forward activities must initially be rooted in an organization’s genuine advocacy and giving of thanks for authentic engagement within its community.
On December 21, 2022, GlowCorp celebrated Christmas with a thanksgiving activity held in its office at Katapatan Homes, Cabuyao, Laguna. The organization warmly welcomed 95 children and some mothers of the community for an afternoon of fun games and good food. Gift bags were also distributed for kids to bring home. The activity is GlowCorp’s way of appreciating the blessings all year round and sharing them with the people of the community it belongs. GlowCorp believes that despite the challenges, every year is a year worth celebrating.
The employees themselves hosted the program. It also became a morale-boosting activity and a breather from the busy month, especially with the rewarding smiles and laughter of everyone at the event.
